On the 4th of July 2018, the Selangor Information Technology and E-Commerce Council (SITEC) hosted several startup talents and idea-owners from the Indonesian and South Korean communities at the Selangor Digital Creative Centre (SDCC), with the guests interested in the Malaysian startup community, and looking for exposure to the Malaysian market.
The guests were treated to an intro to SITEC, as well as the local startup scene, by SITEC’s own Startup Manager, Ann Lee, who provided an overview of SITEC’s part in nurturing the local startup community through activities such as StartupQuest Selangor, the Smart City Hackathon, and the Selangor Accelerator Programme.
They were then briefed about the Selangor International Pitch, with the guests encouraged to join to not only validate their ideas, but also to gain valuable experience in pitching at an international level.
The guests were also taken on a tour of SDCC’s incubator and coworking spaces.
