1st July 2016, Shah Alam — In a bid to raise awareness about the best practices of e-commerce, as well as to tackle pertinent issues within the e-Commerce supply chain in Malaysia, the Selangor Information Technology and E-Commerce Council (SITEC) will be hosting a hackathon/conference to address best practices in e-commerce in Malaysia.
Titled “SITEC E-Commerce Hackathon: Improving Consumer Confidence”this event is set to happen on August 8th, 2016 between 9AM to 5PM at the Selangor Digital Creative Centre (SDCC) in Shah Alam, Selangor.
This hackathon aims to explore issues faced by all segments of the e-commerce ecosystem, thereby gauging their impact, as well as to explore best practices employed by e-commerce leaders from other countries for adaptation to the local ecosystem.
At the end of this conference, SITEC expects to propose an action plan to raise consumer confidence whilst establishing a guide to best practices in e-commerce in Malaysia.
Targeting industry players and merchants who are part of the e-commerce ecosystem, as well as the associated government agencies that are connected to the health, growth, and stability of the e-commerce ecosystem.
The hackathon will feature several big names such as Lazada, Lelong, 11street, Youbeli, and LogOn from the marketplace segment; MOLPay and iPay88 from the payment gateway segment; Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and the logistics sector as well.
Both merchants and the public are welcome to join the event.
